| TROTTERS®
- polyurethane hoof shoe |
| The
TROTTERS® were developed in Germany in 1993. Unlike
many other plastic shoe pioneers, the TROTTERS® are
not a nine days' wonder but turned out to be one of the
most successful, best known and still most widely used
plastic hoof shoes overseas to this day.
Part
of its success and popularity surely lies in the straightforward
concept and “hassle free” fitting, making
life easy for the time-pressured farrier, your horse and
yourself. However simplicity is definitely not the only
advantage of TROTTERS®:
|
| Weight
TROTTERS®
weigh on average only 140g, reducing the energy consumption
as well as the centrifugal forces, hence the impact on
the limbs tremendously. |
|
Elasticity
The high-quality material simulates the natural grip of
a bare hoof and allows the horse to fully develop its
athletic prowess. The flexible polyurethane expands horizontally
and vertically, hence allows for unrestricted hoof mechanism. |
Shock
absorption
Concussion is one of the main problems related to iron
shoes. TROTTERS® absorb up to 90% of the shock, while
preventing high-frequency vibration, another side effect
of iron shoes. |
Nails
TROTTERS® can be fitted using fewer and smaller nails.
The transparent material of TROTTERS® enables the
user to place the nails exactly where required. |
|
Fitting
TROTTERS® are simple and straight, transparent and
the universal shape fits round as well as oval hooves
"hassle free". Sizes are available from 105mm
to 185mm. They are fitted cold and simply shaped with
a rasp. |
| Durability
TROTTERS® successfully passed the toughest practical
test imaginable -700 km on the Fish
River Canyon Trail with Reitsafari-HorseTrails Namibia.
Who can beat that!
